We're very excited to finally launch our 8 week Flag & Muscle Up Block- a progressive overload programme to ensure structure for your body and your schedule!

Let's get you that muscle up! If you're stuck on any form of your muscle up: this is the block for you! We are not only going over important aspects of the exercise, but are throwing in some funky muscle ups as well!

Our flag portion is also designed to build the strength and technique required to have you flagging out and about!

Thornbury Calisthenics aims to differ from other gyms both in terms of exercises and the feel of going to the gym itself. In this way, it is less of a gym, and more of a community of like minded people looking to grow, develop and have a whole lot of fun along the way.
Kalos sthenos
The word calisthenics comes from the ancient Greek words Kalos, which means "Beauty", and Sthenos, meaning "Strength". It is the art of using one's bodyweight as resistance in order to develop both inner and outer beauty and strength.


TRAIN DIFFERENT
Calisthenics is unorthodox in the world of fitness and gyms. You won't find a strict daily workout to do, or be utilising many traditional machines and equipment. Rather, you'll engage in exercises utilising your own body, designed to seek improvement in strength, balance, flexibility and more.
